Thanks for your support!

The good news is that turnout in our area was much higher than in past off-year elections, and the results were considerably closer than in the past.  The bad news is, our team did not pick up any seats.  The link for local election results can be found here: http://www.montcopa.org/montco/election/2007%20General%20Election%20Result.htm

To the disappointment of Montgomery County Democrats, the Republicans picked up two of the three County Commissioner seats, with Joe Hoeffel winning the minority seat.  However, there were a number of bright spots locally.  Mary Lou Readinger handily won her race to be supervisor for Plymouth Township’s 4th ward.  Dems picked up numerous seats in Conshohocken, and won all three Whitemarsh supervisor seats outright.  Democrats also picked up a number of county row office seats, such as Clerk of Courts, Controller, Prothonotary and Coroner, among others.

So – thank you for your support and your vote.  Even though we lost, your support did not go to waste.  The Right Team gave the Republicans the first really competitive race they’d had in years.  The name recognition our team built up could lay the foundation for victory in future years.

We’ll be back in 2009.  Again, thank you for your support.

Home Stretch!

October 31, 2007 at 11:14 am | In Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

The Right Team is in the home stretch!  In less than a week, voters have an historic opportunity to send a message that the Colonial School District’s parents, teachers, and taxpayers will no longer accept ”business as usual.”

This will happen only if Colonial’s Democrats, Independents, and progressive-minded Republicans actually get out and vote on November 6!   Recently, Conshohocken, Plymouth Township, and Whitemarsh Township have trended Democratic in even-numbered years, when the presidency and congressional seats are up for a vote.  In the past, however, progressive, independent, and moderate voters have often given into the temptation to sit out local elections.

Resist that temptation!  Republicans want you to stay home on November 6.  Democrats have never had a better chance to bring needed change to county and municipal government – and to the Colonial School District – but only if you get out and vote!

If you’re unsure of the location of your polling place, please follow this link.  From the drop-down box, choose Conshohocken, Plymouth, or Whitemarsh.

Read about the arrest of a 14-year old Plymouth Township youth who allegedly threatened to attack PW.

We commend the PW student and parent who came forward with information about the plot, and the Plymouth Township Police Department for their speedy response.  All these actions averted a potential tragedy.

Walking the Walk

August 23, 2007 at 11:07 am | In Uncategorized | Leave a Comment

The Right Team has spent August walking the Colonial School District, knocking on doors, and sharing our message of educational excellence, parental involvement, fiscal responsibility, and good community relations.  We’re heard your hopes and dreams for your children, and your frustration with the Board.  We’ve heard what property taxes are doing to your finances.  We’ve heard, loud and clear, that you want better.

We’re prepared to deliver.  Colonial Schools are your schools, educating your children!  Each of us is walking the District to listen to your concerns, and each of us is prepared to walk the walk to make the Colonial School District the best it can be.
